Urgent business issues during war: BOC met with the STS of Ukraine

The Business Ombudsman of Ukraine Roman Waschuk, his Deputy Tetyana Korotka and investigator Kyrylo Nominas met with Acting Deputy Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Yevhen Sokur.
Heads of a number of STS departments also participated in the online meeting in accordance with the planned discussion points list. The meeting was dedicated to updating the cooperation of the Business Ombudsman Council with the State Tax Service of Ukraine, urgent business problems and ways to solve them faster and more effectively, particularly by expanding the electronic exchange of information about applications and complaints.
In particular, during the meeting, participants discussed the progress in implementing court decisions that the BOC handed over to the STS of Ukraine during the last expert group meeting, the issue of tax invoices registration suspension and joint educational events organization.
Following the meeting, the Council agreed with the STS to monthly hold meetings of a joint expert group by involving regional tax authorities representatives, to simplify information exchange procedures, and to arrange a number of webinars for businesses on SMKOR issues.
On a separate note, the STS informed that it was working on unification of approaches to interaction with taxpayers at the regional level and planned to more actively solve the problems of enterprises by engaging business associations, particularly in the field of agriculture.
The Business Ombudsman Council appreciates cooperation with the State Tax Service and positively evaluates expressed intentions of the state body regarding implementation of changes aimed at relieving tension for business community in tax invoices registration issues.
