Vinnytsia joines the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration

Vinnytsia City Council represented by Mayor Serhii Morgunov supported the Business Ombudsman Council’s initiative aimed at developing good governance – a system where decisions are made transparently, responsibly and considering interests of citizens and business.

Signing the Declaration confirms willingness to adhere to the principles of the rule of law, transparency, accountability and efficiency, develop partnership with entrepreneurs and create a predictable environment for economic development.

We are consistently developing Vinnytsia as a city comfortable for living and doing business. It is important that approaches to governance are based on the principles of openness, dialogue and trust. That is why we supported the Business Ombudsman Council’s initiative and move on to implement the best practices of good governance, particularly in terms of interaction with business,”  Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morgunov pointed out.

“The Council is delighted that communities are increasingly active in taking the lead to implement good governance principles. Vinnytsia’s accession to the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration is an important signal. When local authorities cooperate with business in a clear and open manner, everyone benefits – entrepreneurs, residents, and the state as a whole,” says Business Ombudsman Roman Waschuk.

The Business Ombudsman Council welcomes Vinnytsia’s joining the initiative and hopes that this step will contribute to spreading a culture of good governance among local governments.
