On April 13, 2016, Business Ombudsman Paid a Visit to Sumy

Sumy was the eleventh oblast that the Business Ombudsman visited within the framework of his working visits program to the regions of Ukraine. At the moment, the BOC received 7 complaints from businesses in Sumy, of which successfully closed 2.
Mr. Šemeta met with the Head of regional state administration Mykola Klochko, Head of local council Borys Kogan and the President of Sumy Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kostyantyn Makarenko. They discussed the issues of doing business that require consideration at the state level.
“The Business Ombudsman Council’s mission fully coordinates with the priorities of Sumy regional state administration: facilitate the battle against corruption, increase transparency of doing business and increase the investment attractiveness of the region. Small and medium businesses are key employers and donors of regional and state budget revenues. That’s why we rely on your support to protect our entrepreneurs from malpractice of governmental agencies,” said Mykola Klochko, the governor. 
After that. the Business Ombudsman met with the business representatives and attended a key enterprise for the Sumy region – Technologia JSC. Their products are exported to 33 countries and 4 continents.
We would like to remind that the visit to Sumy was performed within the framework of the working visits program of the Business Ombudsman to the regions of Ukraine, where Mr. Šemeta meets entrepreneurs and officials to discuss key problems they face while doing business and the possibilities for improvement of investment potential of the regions. Mr. Šemeta has already visited 10 regions: Chernigiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, Rivne, Volyn, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.
