On June 29, Algirdas Śemeta visited Ivano-Frankivsk, which is now the 22nd oblast he has visited as part of his regional working visits series. As of June 01, 2017, the BOC received 26 complaints from Ivano-Frankivsk entrepreneurs and resolved 16 of them with direct financial impact of over UAH 4 mln. The majority of complaints was regarding the actions of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Mr. Śemeta met with Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Governor Oleh Honcharuk, the Oblast Сity Council representatives as well as executives of the Oblast’s State Fiscal Service and National Police. The parties discussed investment climate of the region and issues related to entrepreneurship that need to be resolved at the state level.
Business Ombudsman also attended State Enterprise “VO “Karpaty” (producer of cabling/wiring and LED products) and pig farming company TzOV “Danosha”. Mr. Śemeta found out more about manufacturing process and discussed problematic issues of doing business with the management.
This visit Ivano-Frankivsk is part of the Business Ombudsman’s program of tours to the country’s regions, to enable Mr. Semeta to meet with local businesses and officials to discuss key problems that they encounter in doing business, and ways to improve the investment appeal of the region. He has already visited Vinnytsia, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, Rivne, Volyn, Cherkassy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Ternopil, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.
