The Business Ombudsman Council to Host Two Events at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome

On July 9 and 11, 2025, the Business Ombudsman Council will join the international dialogue on Ukraine’s recovery during the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Rome. As part of the conference, the Council will host two events — focusing on the role of ombuds institutions, and the engagement of the private sector and international partners in recovering Ukraine.

July 9: Discussion on the Role of the Ombudsman in Regional Recovery

Together with Marino Fardelli, Ombudsman of the Italian Republic, the Business Ombudsman Council invites you to a discussion on the role of the ombuds institution in regional recovery and rebuilding efforts in Ukraine.

Key topics:

  • The contribution of ombudsman institutions to the recovery of Ukrainian regions
  • Protection of human rights in Ukraine’s evolving economy
  • Support from European and international partners, including the EU and OECD

July 11: “Rebuilding Better Than Before” Through Partnership

The second event, co-organized with the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP), will focus on reflections from URC and a discussion on the role of Ukrainian businesses and the international community in rebuilding Ukraine guided by transparency, partnership, and accountability.

Discussion focus:

  • Real-life stories of entrepreneurs already implementing recovery projects
  • Prerequisites and reforms needed to engage the private sector
  • Expectations of international investors when investing in Ukraine
  • Ways to foster an attractive investment climate amid wartime conditions
