For many years, the Business Ombudsman Council has closely cooperated with the State Tax Service of Ukraine in resolving entrepreneurs’ issues. To elevate the interaction between the BOC and the STS of Ukraine to a new qualitative level and strengthen the partnership in addressing business complaints and systemic issues in the tax sphere, the parties decided to make changes to the Memorandum.
The Council aims to continue its constructive cooperation with the STS of Ukraine — particularly through regular Expert Groups, which help to resolve entrepreneurs’ complaints promptly and systematically.
The parties also discussed the creation of a platform within the Business Ombudsman Council for businesses from the electronics retail sector to develop mechanisms for market de-shadowing. Additionally, they exchanged views on introducing alternative dispute resolution tools in the tax sphere and aligning tax legislation with the Law on Administrative Procedure.
The Business Ombudsman Council is grateful to the leadership of the STS of Ukraine for its openness to dialogue and cooperation and will continue to develop partnerships that help businesses operate transparently and honestly, while enabling the state to establish clear and predictable rules.
