Today the Business Ombudsman, Algirdas Semeta and his Deputies, Tetyana Korotka and Iaroslav Gregirchak met the Head of the SSU Vasyl Hrytsak. The round table united the Heads of leading business associations, inter alia the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs – SUP.
The participants discussed cooperation between the business and the SSU with respect to creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurship and attracting investment to Ukraine. In particular, Vasyl Hrytsak unveiled a letter addressed to heads of divisions and regional bodies of the SSU regarding the restriction of illegal approaches when applying sanctions in foreign trade. This is another step towards implementation of the recommendations given by the BOC to the government in conducting international trade.
Business Ombudsman Algirdas Semeta noted: “Since signing the Memorandum between the SSU and the BOC, we have seen some concrete actions from the agency side in resolving existing issues.” Let us remind you, that as of the end of Q3 2017 the SSU fulfilled 96% of the BOC recommendations, which is one of the best indicators among state bodies.
