On 6-7 July Business Ombudsman Paid a Visit to Uzhgorod and Chernivtsi

On July 6, Algirdas Semeta, Business Ombudsman, visited Uzhgorod. As of July 01, 2016, his Office received 15 complains from this region, and closed 10 out of them. The majority of complains are regarding the actions of customs bodies.
On July 7, Mr. Semeta paid a visit to Chernivtsi. The Council has received the least complaints from this region – only 5 since launch of operations.
In both cities Mr. Semeta met local businesses and officials and attended the leading companies – Eurocar (official distributor of Skoda cars, Uzhgorod) and Trembita (manufacturer of male and female clothing, Chernivtsi).
These visits to Uzhgorod and chernivtsi are part of the Business Ombudsman’s program of tours to the country’s regions, to enable Mr. Semeta to meet with local businesses and officials to discuss key problems that they encounter in doing business, and ways to improve the investment appeal of the region. He has already visited Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, Rivne, Volyn, Cherkassy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky Oblasts.
