Khemelnytskyi joins the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration

The Khmelnytskyi City Council, represented by Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn, supported the initiative of the Business Ombudsman Council to promote transparent, ethical, and citizen- and business-oriented approaches in the work of local self-government bodies.

By signing the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration, the city of Khmelnytskyi expresses its commitment to implementing the principles of good governance — including the rule of law, transparency, accountability, and efficiency — in the activities of state and local authorities.

Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn emphasized that joining the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration of the Business Ombudsman Council is an important step toward the city’s development:

“We strive to build effective local self-government that serves the interests of the community and entrepreneurs, and operates openly and responsibly. Joining the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration reaffirms our readiness to introduce best practices of good governance, particularly in cooperation with business.”

Business Ombudsman Roman Waschuk noted:

“The Business Ombudsman Council works to create conditions in which businesses feel protected and can trust state institutions. That is why we actively encourage government bodies to adhere to the principle of good governance, which forms the basis of our Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration. Following the ideas of the Declaration will foster both stronger partnerships between local authorities and businesses in Khmelnytskyi, and the development of entrepreneurship in the city and community.”

Khmelnytskyi has become one more Ukrainian city to support this initiative, demonstrating its commitment to responsible governance.

Earlier, the Chortkiv City Council and the Ternopil Regional Military Administration also joined the Declaration of Fair and Reasonable Administration.

The accession of local self-government bodies to the Declaration serves as an example for other cities and regions striving to improve the business climate and support economic recovery.
