On February 6, the Business Ombudsman, Roman Waschuk joined a meeting between the newly appointed Head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, and representatives of leading business associations.
The event, organized by the State Tax Service of Ukraine, aimed to define priority areas of cooperation with the business community and civil society institutions, as well as to develop a convenient interaction format. Special attention was given to consultations on urgent tax administration issues.
During the meeting, participants discussed a range of current challenges faced by taxpayers, including the blocking of tax invoices, non-enforcement of court decisions, and the fight against the shadow economy.
It is worth noting that the new Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine shares the Business Ombudsman Council’s vision in some matters related to tax administration.
The Business Ombudsman Council appreciates the State Tax Service of Ukraine’s openness to dialogue with the business community. The Council is committed to further strengthening its engagement with the tax service’s departments on issues related to court decision enforcement, tax audits, changes to the SMKOR system, and the implementation of tax mediation opportunities. We look forward to effective cooperation with the State Tax Service of Ukraine to continue working towards fair and predictable conditions for doing business in Ukraine.
