Today the Business Ombudsman Marcin Swiecicki met with Swiss business community. The event was organized the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine in partnership with the Business Ombudsman Council.
During the meeting, Mr. Swiecicki told about the BOC in Ukraine, its principles and goals and main achievements during five years of its operation. The Business Ombudsman highlighted main trends of business complaints about state body’s malpractice including COVID-related appeals, key systemic issues and recommendations issued to the Government in this regard. In particular, when addessing Swiss business, Mr. Swiecicki gave an overview of the closed cases of Swiss companies which solicited the Council’s help.
In his speech, Marcin Swiecicki underlined the need for adoption of the Draft Law “On the Business Ombudsman Institution in Ukraine” as long as it is a basis for protecting legal rights of business in the country and an opportunity to underpin the institution’s operation at the legislative level.
Swiss business can lodge a complaint to the BOC if its legal rights and interests are violated by state bodies. The Business Ombudsman Council and its team considers complaints free of charge and is ready to comprehensively investigate appeals of Swiss entrepreneurs who seek fair decisions in their cases.
