Business Ombudsman met entrepreneurs of Chernigiv region

During the meeting with the representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, Šemeta and Abromavicius discussed key problem areas of doing business in Chernigiv that entrepreneurs face. Among the issues raised were new requirements on installation of cash registers, failure to return VAT, non-payment of compensation to companies, whose employees have been mobilized to ATO. Mr. Šemeta also attended several plants, including LLC “Plast-box – Ukraine” and Chernigiv division of PJSC “SUN InBev Ukraine” that are competitive not only in domestic market, but in the foreign ones too. 
Mr. Šemeta also met the management of regional state administration and discussed the issues in Chernigiv region that require special attention of executive authorities. 
Mr. Šemeta encouraged Chernigiv entrepreneurs to contact Business Ombudsman Council if their legal rights are violated: “At the moment, we have received over 100 complaints from Ukrainian businesses, two of which are rom Chernigiv entrepreneurs. We will not only deal with the complaints, but also develop systematic recommendations on legislative changes, which will improve the conditions of doing business”, added Algirdas Šemeta.
Business trip to Chernihiv is the first of a series of planned visits to the regions. In the course of June and July Algirdas Šemeta plans to visit various regions of Ukraine to discuss the problems the entrepreneurs face while doing business in Ukraine.
