What is the webinar about?
Issues in dealing with tax authorities are one of the most topical for the Ukrainian business. Among over 7,000 complaints received by the Council over the past 5 years, more than 4,000 were tax related. The large number of complaints on this topic allows the Council’s investigators to track all the main trends in this area in real time, identify systemic problems and facilitate their resolution in addition to resolving individual complaints. At the webinar, the Council’s investigators will share experience of how to use one’s own capabilities as well as the BOC assistance to protect business.
Webinar agenda:
1. How the Council can help businesses in case of problems with tax authorities and what to keep in mind when approaching the Council. The most common tax related complaints lodged by businesses with the BOC.
2. Problematic issues faced by businesses during tax audits and their results appeal.
3. VAT administration related issues addressed by businesses to the Council. 
4. Specifics of business complaints related to SMKOR system functioning: tax invoices suspension, high-risk taxpayers lists.
5. Peculiarities of complaints pertaining to SEA VAT funtioning
Speakers:
Volodymyr Zabudskyi, Business Ombudsman Council investigator specializing in tax issues. Volodymyr has 10 years of practice. He is appointed to represent the Council in the Expert Council of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on preparation of generalized tax consultations. Volodymyr is an author of numerous publications on taxation topics and co-author of three systemic reports of the Council –  on problems of business in customs sphere (2018), administrative appeal procedure (2019) and updated systemic report on tax issues (planned to be published in August 2020). 
Yuliana Revyuk, the Business Ombudsman Council investigator. Yuliana has over 15 years of experience in project management in international consulting and public sector. She is a member of the Council’s expert group, which comprehensively discusses tax complaints with the State Tax Service of Ukraine and a co-author of the Council’s Systemic Report on tax issues (2015) and an updated systemic report on tax issues (publication is scheduled for August 2020).
